Zahrin Ismail is an accomplished professional with 25 years of experience spanning multiple industries, including banking and real estate. His deep passion for drone technology emerged during his tenure as Vice President at Iskandar Investment Berhad (IIB), home to Southeast Asia’s first Drone and Robotics Zone.

Recognizing the shortage of young talent in Malaysia’s drone industry, he made the bold decision to leave IIB in 2023 to actively contribute to workforce development. He is committed to nurturing and supplying skilled professionals for Malaysia’s drone sector by 2030, in alignment with the country’s Drone Industry Development Action Plan (MTDAP30).

As part of this mission, he established Drone Skills Sdn. Bhd., a company dedicated to training and talent development in UAV technology. Drone Skills plays a pivotal role in equipping the next generation with comprehensive training, ensuring a competent workforce to support the growth of Malaysia’s drone ecosystem
