Launching of the Prima Alam Technologies ACOE and Drone Skills School Challenge

On the 26th of July 2025, two incredible milestones were achieved for the Pavo Consortium. Those being, the launching of the Prima Alam Technologies Aerospace Centre of Excellence (ACOE) and the Drone Skills School Challenge for the primary school and secondary school level. The launching ceremony took place at ‘Karnival Siang Malam Karangkraf 2025’ and was officiated by Y.B. Tuan Dr. Mohammad Fahmi Bin Ngah, member of the Selangor State Executive Council (EXCO). Alongside as guest of honors were YBrs Puan Zannifa Azura binti Ahmad, the CEO of the Selangor Aviation & Technology Innovation Sdn. Bhd. (SELATI), as well as Puan Farah Binti Hussamuddin, the CEO of Sinar Karangkraf Sdn. Bhd. 


Representing the companies involved in the efforts respectively were Dr. Mohar Yusof, the President of Prima Alam Technologies Sdn. Bhd. and Zahrin Ismail, the founder of Drone Skills Sdn. Bhd.

The launchings marked the beginning of a large step forward into the Aerospace Industry following a path in which the State of Selangor is the largest contributor for the Aerospace Industry and Drones in the country with around 67% of aerospace companies and educational institutions in Malaysia that support the expansion of this industry being located in Selangor. These efforts Prima Alam Technologies Sdn. Bhd. and Drone Skills Sdn. Bhd. 


The Prima Alam Technologies ACOE is meant to support the development of the aerospace industry in Selangor and Malaysia in line with the New Industrial Master Plan (NIMP) 2030 to stimulate innovation and transformation of the aerospace and drone industries. Its core functions are, research and development (R&D), training and human capital development, innovation and technology commercialisation, and applications of aerospace & drone technology with digital technology & economy.



The Prima Alam Technologies (ACOE) has the goals of strengthening the local aerospace technology ecosystem, producing a skilled workforce that is competitive at the regional and global level, and accelerating the adoption of technology in related industries



As for the Drone Skills School Challenge, it is an educational initiative that applies drone technology through practical yet fun racing and sport activities whilst encouraging STEM based learning. The initiative targets beginners, as well as  intermediate and professional drone operators. The programme began as a pilot project at SK Damansara Utama that is now expanding to the district, state and national levels in line with the Malaysia Drone Technology Action Plan 2030 (MDTAP30) by MOSTI in an effort to achieve the target of 100,000 job opportunities in the drone industry by 2030.

Additionally, it is a privilege to have Sinar Bestari and Sinar Karangkraf empowering national reach through technology & media platforms.
